April 11 is recognized as National Pet Day. Pet owners from all around the sports world took to social media to share their furry friends.

National Pet Day was created in 2004 as a way to encourage future pet owners to adopt their next pal. Their posts are proof that man’s best friend can come in all kinds of shapes, sizes and even species.

Pet parents used the day to provide their companion with an extra dose of attention, particularly in the form of likes and retweets.

Newark, Delaware man looking into license to keep pet deer that’s house-trained

NEWARK, Delaware (WPVI) — A man in Newark, Delaware has formed a very special bond with a perhaps unsuspecting pet: a young doe he aptly named Bambi after his favorite cartoon.

Remember when Supercell posted that April Fools’ Day prank about ClashPetZ? Turns out it wasn’t a complete joke after all. Today’s Clash of Clans sneak peek — the final for the Spring 2021 update — revealed Hero Pets, mighty companions that assist your Heroes in battle.

The reveal of Hero Pets doesn’t come as a complete surprise as various leaks hinted at the new building. But today’s announcement reveals the four Hero Pets you’ll be able to train in the Pet House.

Pets of the week: Bronco and Milton would love to join your family

JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.

Here are two of them.

Bronco is a 1-year-old Staffordshire mix who came in as a stray and is full of enthusiasm. He tries to be house broken and is learning to walk on a leash.

Milton is a soft grey tabby cat with big yellow green eyes. He came in as a stray with a large wound on his side that is now almost completely healed. Milton’s handsome looks and friendly disposition are sure to win you over.

Dilworth City Council to discuss limiting pets, mandatory microchips

City Administrator Peyton Mastera said the council could adopt the new ordinance or make other changes to city pet laws at the meeting.

He said the microchipping issue is driving the proposal.

Currently, if a lost dog or cat is found and handled by the police department, the process gets quite involved, he said.

The pet is taken to the FM Animal Hospital, and owners then must collect the animal. There’s also time needed to check on licensing and vaccination records.
